Member of the Central Committee of the Social Democratic Union in Macedonia


Ms Lindita Shakiri Atanasova is a member of the Central Committee of the Social Democratic Union in Macedonia.

She has been involved in politics in the least fifteen years, but more actively from 2002. Starting from then and until today she served on different political and public functions. She worked as a state secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and has received many certificates for her work in the public administration. During this period she was engaged on many projects, such as the “Prespa Park” national project. Ms Lindita Shakiri was a member of the Presidency of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia, the highest executive board of the party. From 2007 to 2009, she was the President of the Municipal Organization of the Social Democratic Union in the Aerodrom Municipality  and in the local elections in 2009 she was elected in the city council.

She is the author of publications, editorials and analyzes  based on the current political situation in the country, and particularly elaborates the issue of inter-ethnic relations in Macedonia.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the American College University in Skopje. She graduated from Technological–Metallurgic Faculty at the University of “ St. Cyril and Metodije”-Skopje. She speaks English, Serbian and Albanian.
