Dr. Petkovska is an Assistant Director for Political and Security Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia.
She holds a Doctorial Degree in International Law from the European University in Skopje.
During her career she occupied different positions such as: Head of International Cooperation Department in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Head of International Cooperation Department in the Intelligence Agency and Defense and Security Committee Expert, as a member of the Joint program among DCAF-Geneva, OSCE Mission in Skopje and Macedonian Parliament.
Most of her work regards the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Macedonia, which includes legal aspects of Security Sector Governance and Reforms; democratic control of armed forces and security institutions, involvement in the areas related to governance such as legal reforms, human and minority rights, gender issues, the role of media etc.
She is a member of Democratic Alliance.
Additionaly, she is a Vice President of Macedonian Marshall Center Alumni Association.
